Automatic grid networking and management

Autonomic Grid Computing deals with self-managing and self-adapting parallel and distributed computing and associated data management on a distributed and parallel Grid of computational machines (PCs, servers, super-computers, clusters) and storage systems. Recently, the Grid Community has started efforts to enhance the core services of Grid systems with autonomic capabilities so that the functions are selfmanaging. The researchers are also working to factor the L1/2/3 network and network management into this autonomic Grid. The second IEEE/IFIP International workshop on Autonomic Grid Networking and Management, AGNM 2006, was held as part of Manweek 2006 in Dublin, Ireland, from October 26th to 27th, 2006.
