Aerodynamic investigation of the cooling requirements of electric vehicles

More about the book
A consequent low-drag design can help to increase the cruising range of battery electric vehicles. The potential savings in the cooling air drag motivate this investigation. A dual approach to minimize the cooling air drag of the DrivAer model is proposed: the internal drag is optimized numerically using an adjoint approach while the interference drag at the inlets and outlets of the cooling duct system is investigated experimentally.
