After the war, the land and the sea were devastated and full of dangers. A new technology emerged allowing the few privileged to thrive above the dangers in floating city states. New Atlanta floated somewhere over the Carolinas. Moon, a teenager, was a resident of this great city. A program by the Order allowed a few "Grounders" access to New Atlanta to serve its residents, but also to attend school. One of these grounders was named Hanno. When Moon saw Hanno she was instantly attracted. The journey Moon and Hanno take together, will transport Moon to a world she never knew existed.
