The first chapter of the book deals with general aspects of the biology, the conditions of life, and the main principles of the actual distribution of tropical terrestrial snails. A further five chapters treating the Florida-Caribbean region, Central and South America, Africa with adjacent islands, tropical Asia, and the tropical Pacific from New Guinea to Hawaii, give more detailed aspects on the life.
