The Neues Palais in Sanssouci Park was the largest major palace built by Frederick the Great. Begun in 1763, immediately after the end of the Seven Years' War, and completed in just 1769, its magnificent halls of state, galleries, palace theatre and apartments were created for the enjoyment of the king and his guests.
