My town Kolín. Jews in Kolín

More about the book

An illustrated booklet of commemoration for the Jews of the Czech town of Kolín. Pp. 38-71 deal with the Holocaust period. Ca. 430 Jews lived in the town in the 1930s; this number grew somewhat due to the influx of Jews from the Sudetenland, annexed to Germany in 1938. In June 1942 more than 2,000 Jews of the Kolín "Oberlandrat" (the town of Kolín and the surrounding area, administered by one Nazi administrator) were deported to Theresienstadt, and most of them perished. Pp. 46-61 contain a list of victims. (From the Bibliography of the Vidal Sassoon International Center for the Study of Antisemitism)
