After nearly 30 years working in large format photography, Massimo Vitali brings together his 12 “best” photographs in a beautiful volume. The selection of just 12 works was made following many lengthy conversations with collaborators and curators who know his work deeply. The selected works are not necessarily his most well-known pieces, rather each one speaks to a particular moment of his artistic research. The different images unfold in a changing world which is reflected in the landscapes depicted and the human interaction with that landscape. 12 photographs - tipped-in by hand - like 12 months in a year: short stories of a long career.
