More about the book
One of the major tasks facing every adolescent and young adult is the development of one’s own personality. One has to bring the internal and external demands on one’s personality in concordance, in order to allow the feeling of being at peace with onself to develop. This is not only a matter of inner equilibrium, but also means obtaining a balanced physical being and proper cognitive assessment of one’s own potential. Identity means both being at ease with one inner self and having the feeling of harmonizing with group-specific traits of one’s peers. This volume provides insight into the practice of an child and adolescent psychotherapist. It employs psychological methods as well as considerations from pastoral counseling on the idea of identity and relevant problems.
