The eastern part of Tibet (Kham and Amdo) has four rivers and six ranges. This area is known in Tibetan language as Chushi Gangdrug. The warriors of Kham and Amdo were the first to rise up against the Chinese occupation of Tibet. The author was the leader of the Khampa Resistance Group which waged a war against the Chinese from 1950 to 1959.
