This unit is about how to prepare mathematical documents using a computer. The aim of the book is not to teach you everything about this, but to be able to use a computer to prepare a solution for exams.What is needed is specialist software to create the various symbols and structures, in a process that is known as typesetting mathematics. The first section of this unit introduces mathematical typesetting, and there are then three further sections. Each of these sections is an exploration into a different software package that can be used to create mathematical expressions within a document, namely LaTeX, Microsoft Word, and LibreOffice.
