Jathaka Stories have made a deep impression in the minds of Buddhists all over the world. They have inspired poets, artists and playwrights. They have become the life blood of Buddhist Culture. Written by Mrs. Jayasumana De Silva Robertson who was a teacher at Vishaka Vidyalaya Colombo and an advisor to The National Institute of Education in Sri Lanka, has gone a further step by composing a book of Dhammas to attract the attention and interest of the child. And this is specially is seen all throughout the stories. In this book we found fifteen Jathaka Stories completed in simple language to suit the school children who attend classes in English medium. Children may act and perform them in class room as the dialogues are suitable for them.
