Suffrajitsu is set in London in 1914 and the leaders of the radical women's rights movement are fugitives from the law. Their last line of defense is the secret society of "Amazons": women trained in the marital art of barititsu and sworn to defend their leaders. In The Dead God, it is AD 536 in the land of Frisia, a hostile place of words and sorcery where three valiant warriors quest for treasure. They seek the head of Yvrnn, the sky-god, that is supposed to grant great wisdom and fortune. In Symposium, the Shield-Bretheren is a secret martial order that has defended the West for centuries. The heroes, seeking to realize the idea offered by the philosopher Plato, leave Athens for Delphi in hopes of visiting the oracle
