More about the book
The manor house of Cotehele in Cornwall exudes an air of antiquity, its Great Hall hung with armour and its rooms with Flemish tapestries. The house was left in a state of almost suspended animation for 200 years from the end of the 17th century when the Edgcumbe family chose to live elsewhere.
