During the 1990 Nishikigoi (Koi) Show held in Tokyo, a group of experts convened to discuss the knowledge which they considered vital for beginners and advanced koi-lovers. Dr. Tamadachi was there and made copious notes about the fish in the show. The notes resulted in this book.
