More about the book
The biography chronicles the life of Edgar Wallace, a prolific writer who transformed from a working-class youth into a celebrated author known as the "King of Thrillers." After various jobs and military service in South Africa, he was inspired to write by Rudyard Kipling. His breakthrough came with the publication of "Sanders of the River," followed by a successful partnership with Hodder and Stoughton. Wallace's remarkable output included 170 novels and numerous stories across genres. His later years were marred by health issues, leading to his death in 1932.
