More about the book
Levy's literary journey began early, with her first poem published at fourteen. Her notable works include "Romance of a Shop," which explores the challenges of four sisters managing a business in 1880s London, and "Reuben Sachs," addressing Jewish identity and societal norms. Her poetry often reflects feminist themes and incorporates influences from French symbolism. Despite her vibrant literary contributions and friendships, Levy struggled with depression and deafness, ultimately leading to her tragic suicide at the age of twenty-seven.
