This is the story of how I, early retired from a career in law fell in love with Thailand and soon was irretrievably hooked. And of course eventually I fell for my 'Thai girl', Cat and we set up home together in her small family village in a poor and remote rice growing area of Thailand. If you have ever dreamed of no longer being a mortgage and wage slave and to live the dream including even dusky maidens and swaying palm trees, then this is the book for you. But how could I, a slightly pompous lawyer twice her age possibly be compatible with a woman and a way of life so utterly different to my own?
