In Evolution, Susan has taken inspiration from the vintage garments she studied and recreated in The Vintage Shetland Project and translated them into highly usable, modern garments; designed to be easy and fun to knit. Each design is modeled by Susan, who explores her own evolution after two surgeries as a result of breast cancer. The photos were taken by Susan herself, without a prosthesis, to hopefully normalize an often hidden result of such operations
