More about the book
The guide facilitates the visitor's discovery of the masterpieces housed in the Gallery. Established in 1895 by merging the Corsini and Torlonia Collections, it was moved in 1949 to Palazzo Barberini, built by Carlo Maderno and Gian Lorenzo Bernini in the 17th century and decorated, among others, by Pietro da Cortona and Andrea Sacchi. Among the many works on display are Raphael's famous Fornarina, recently restored, and Caravaggio's paintings of Judith and Holofernes and Narcissus.
