30 Seconds to Mars is an American rock band from Los Angeles, formed in 1998. The current lineup, established in 2007, includes actor Jared Leto (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Shannon Leto (drums), and Tomo Miličević (lead guitar, keyboards). After bassist Matt Wachter left in 2007, Tim Kelleher joined for live performances, while both Jared and Miličević recorded bass for studio albums. Braxton Olita was added to the touring lineup in 2009. The band has released three studio albums: their self-titled debut (2002), A Beautiful Lie (2005), and This Is War (2009), along with three extended plays. Their music blends neo-prog, progressive metal, and post-grunge, incorporating elements of emo, screamo, space rock, and synth rock.
