Blue Mountain recounts the journey of founding Blue Mountain Arts and bluemountain.com, detailing the experiences my husband Steve and I had, from silk-screening our first posters while living in a pickup-truck camper to our poetry greeting cards becoming the top-selling line in America. Our story also includes the legal battles we faced against two major corporations to protect our companies, which had a profound impact on us and are described in detail. In the late 1990s, we became part of the dot-com craze and navigated the fast-paced world of the Internet. Many have found our story inspiring, admiring how we pursued our dreams. After repeated requests to share our experiences, we realized that the lessons we learned could help others avoid the pitfalls we encountered. If this book helps you learn even one lesson to sidestep a mistake we made, it fulfills its purpose. After years of privacy, we felt compelled to share our story.
