As the 1990s unfold, this series of books looks back at each year of the decade as it passes. Each title has a four-page section on each month, presenting in a newspaper format the most important stories in world events, sport, the arts and science. In this edition of the book January features articles on the Soviet Bloc in turmoil, June gives details of earthquakes in Iran and October gives an account of the unification of Germany. The books are designed to stimulate interest in current affairs and are aimed specifically at teenagers.
