This book brings together a selection of 132 pieces of European street furniture and microarchitecture. These elements are situated in the public space and united by the shared purpose of providing a service to the public, encompassing a great range and variety of uses and functions that emerge in line with the new needs of the city. All of the elements featured in this selection are currently in production and available on the market; they are either recently created or reinterpreted, representing innovations in design or use of materials, or have some specific added value. The book is structured in the form of descriptive profiles of each of the featured elements, identifying the designer and the manufacturer, and providing complete technical and formal characteristics, along with photographs and scale drawings.
