This text takes a critical approach to the analysis of 17 major social problems confronting the world today, examining both the causes and human implications of those problems. The text is divided into two major parts. The first part focuses on macro problems, or large societal issues such as homelessness or racism. The second half of addresses micro problems of an individual nature such as drug abuse and suicide.
