Syzygia represented a very specific group in the unique cultural situation in which heterogeneous and conflicting movements were synchronized in the second half of the 1980s. The astronomical meaning of the title, a common term for contradictory phenomena, conjunctions and oppositions, metaphorically characterized the cultural situation in the period of conflict between Postmodernism and its Modernist, dissent background on the domestic scene.
