More about the book

The Centre for International Light Art in Unna, opened in 2001, is the first and only museum in the world dedicated exclusively to lighting installations. This book documents the Centre's valuable collection of works by international artists as well as the exhibitions to date. Ten of the world's most renowned creators of lighting installations exhibit works specifically developed for the vaulted cellar of the museum, which is housed in a old brewery. The labyrinthine corridors, cooling rooms and fermentation vats of the former brewery measure more than 24,000 square feet. This "underground" museum is recognized from outside by a towering chimney featuring Mario Merz’s fascinating neon installation "Fibonacci-Row".
