Katharina Hacker, wurde 1967 in Frankfurt am Main geboren und wuchs auch dort auf. In Freiburg und Jerusalem studierte sie Philosophie, Geschichte und Judaistik. Sie arbeitete mehrere Jahre in Israel und lebt seit 1996 als Autorin in Berlin. Ihr Roman Die Habenichtse wurde 2006 mit dem Deutschen Buchpreis ausgezeichnet.
