When we think of American architecture we think of the likes of Wright, Meier and Eisenman - in years to come one or more of the names in this book could well achieve that level of renown. 26 young architects or architectural practices are showcased here, not just the urban sophisticates of New York but creative types from less familiar municipalities like Milwaukee and Palo Alto. A total of 72 projects - mainly residential - are presented with clear plans, photos and English/German text, including Slade Architecture's literally dotty Pixel House, Miro Rivera Architects' reed-effect bridge and the industrial-effect houses of Richard Rosa.
