A showcase of the beauty, wildlife and cultures of Africa. Covering the whole continent, the book is divided into four regions: north; east; west; and south. Each region is introduced by an essay on the landscape and people, and informative captions provide further information on particular places, animals or peoples. There are photographs of the Sahara Desert, the rock churches of Ethiopia, the rain forests of equatorial Africa, the wildlife of the East African savannah, the ruins of Great Zimbabwe, and the rainbow nation of South Africa.
