A reminder for those who need it, that lithic studies are alive and well beyond the flint-rich lowland zone of England. Nine papers resulting from the 1988 Sheffield Lithics Conference illustrate some of the range of approaches to lithic analysis currently in use in a loosely defined northeast Midlands.
