More about the book
In 1995, young Berlin architect Gesine Weinmiller won the competition to design the Federal Court of Labor in Erfurt, Germany. Weinmiller's severe, rectangular, four-story building, with its inner courtyards and gridded facade, gives the effect of a monolithic block: an allegory of reason, a nostalgic monument to order. Klaus Kinold's photographs document the building from excavation to completion.
