More about the book
Skye (the Misty Isle) is the largest of the many beautiful islands lying off the west coast of Scotland and is part of Iverness-shire. It has an area of approximately 350, 000 acres, is fifty miles long from North to Suuth, and from seven to twenty-five miles broad. Every part of it is isolated from another by bens, glens, burns and winding sea lochs; the latter being responsible for its extensive coastline which measures hundreds of miles and is out of all proportion to its small area. No point on the island is more than five miles from the sea. Everything you want to know about Skye Island is in this book! Illustrated with 148 photographs by the author. Map endpapers.
