In 1991, the author was invited by Curtis F. Wong, owner of "Inside Kung Fu" magazine, to create a successful video series on JKD Concepts. With a background in writing, the author expressed interest in contributing a column to the magazine, leading Wong to facilitate an introduction to the publication's editor. This opportunity marked the beginning of a new venture in the author's career, blending martial arts expertise with writing.
