This volume is a response to the growing need for new methodological approaches to the rapidly changing landscape of new forms of performative practices. The authors address a host of contemporary phenomena situated at the crossroads between science and fiction which employ various media and merge live participation with mediated hybrid experiences at both affective and cognitive level. All essays collected here move across disciplinary divisions in order to provide an account of these new tendencies, thus providing food for thought for a wide readership ranging from performative studies to the social sciences, philosophy and cultural studies.

*** THE INCREDIBLE No. 1 New York Times BESTSELLER *** "What starts here changes the world" was the university slogan that inspired William H. McRaven to take charge of the small things that could change his life and even the world. In this work, McRaven shares 10 life-changing principles learned during his 37 years as a Navy SEAL. These philosophies helped him overcome challenges in both his career and personal life, and they can be applied by anyone to foster positive change. The principles include beginning each day with a simple task, supporting one another, respecting everyone, acknowledging life's unfairness and the inevitability of failure, taking risks, stepping up in tough times, confronting bullies, uplifting the downtrodden, and never giving up. By embracing these lessons, we can create a better world. With humility and optimism, this timeless book offers universal wisdom, practical advice, and encouragement to inspire readers to achieve more, even during life's darkest moments. If this book has provided you with life-changing insights, consider leaving a review to help others discover its inspiring message. 'Superb, smart, succinct' - Forbes; 'A book to inspire your children and grandchildren to become everything they can' - The Wall Street Journal.

      Polnische Texte des 20. Jahrhunderts
