Colin A. Ronan Biography

Colin A. Ronan was a British author and specialist in the history and philosophy of science. Following military service and studies in astronomy and the history and philosophy of science, he dedicated himself to writing, producing over forty books, primarily on astronomy and the history and philosophy of science. He also collaborated on an abridged edition of a major work on China and played significant roles in the administration of the British Astronomical Association. His popular lecture tours, often in collaboration with Patrick Moore, were highly successful and contributed to the amateur astronomy scene. Ronan's extensive writing included studies of prominent scientists and books aimed at both children and budding amateur astronomers.
