Wendy Northcutt, originally a molecular biologist from UC Berkeley, has gained renown for curating and presenting stories that humorously illustrate human carelessness and its often fatal consequences. Her work focuses on examining natural selection in the modern era, highlighting with wit and irony the bizarre ways individuals fail to survive. Northcutt explores the ironic facets of human ingenuity, often delving into themes that provoke thought about humanity's tendency to take risks. Her literary approach offers a unique perspective on the concept of evolution through real-life anecdotes.
The first all-new selection of Darwin Award-winners in three years
This sequel to the bestselling Darwin Awards book brings together more true stories on the universal themes of death and stupidity, including:* Femme Fatalities* Engines of Destruction* Male-FunctionsThe Darwin Awards: true stories that will make you glad to be alive!
