Theofrastos Biography

Theophrastus was Aristotle's successor in the Peripatetic school, delving into subjects ranging from biology and physics to ethics and metaphysics. His botanical works significantly influenced medieval science, earning him the title "father of botany." In ethics, he explored happiness as dependent on external influences as well as virtue, famously observing that "life is ruled by fortune, not wisdom."
