This thesis explores the nonlinear characteristics of superconducting quantum interference devices (SQUIDs) as magnetic meta-atoms, which serve as fundamental components of metamaterials. SQUIDs demonstrate unique phenomena like frequency tunability and multi-stability, enhancing their appeal as controllable meta-atoms.
