My Shadow and I is inspired by true events about the relationship between a young boy and his dog. When Shadow the dog is brought into the home they greet each other with hugs and licks. As the weeks pass they become inseparable and their bond becomes stronger. The boy learns to love, respect, and care for an animal and they both learn about discipline through the guidance of the parents. These lessons learned through the fun they have together are an invaluable part of a child's early education and can also be an aid to some mental health issues.
