Tesco Vee and Dave Stimson launched the Touch and Go fanzine in 1979, setting out to chronicle, lambaste, ridicule, and heap praise on the nascent punk scene. Produced in laughably minuscule press runs, their publication was created by insiders for the edification of scenesters and pals in other cities. Inspired by influential publications and writers, Vee and Stimson produced twenty-two irreverent issues, spawned a legendary independent record label, and brought recognition to the era's most vital punk bands.
