      The effectiveness of coaching as a nondirective consultancy method is explored through interviews with 24 coaches from diverse backgrounds, including systemic and Gestalt approaches. Utilizing Grounded Theory for analysis, the study identifies a general model of effective coaching methodology and essential competencies required for coaches. Additionally, 16 key coaching techniques are highlighted, such as constructive questioning, goal specification, visualization, and the use of metaphors, which facilitate client progress and foster meaningful change.
