Yataro hat es endlich geschafft, seine Gefühle gegenüber Ito in Worte zu fassen, und auch Chiharu wird bewusst, dass er in Ito nicht mehr das kleine Mädchen aus der Nachbarschaft sieht. Ito hingegen ist sich auf einmal nicht mehr sicher, was sie eigentlich will. Dann geschieht jedoch etwas Unerwartetes, das ihr den wahren Wert ihrer gemeinsamen Gegenwart bewusst macht.
