Hugo de Vries Books

Hugo de Vries was a Dutch botanist and one of the first geneticists, known for proposing the concept of genes. He rediscovered the laws of heredity, unaware of Mendel's work, and introduced the term 'mutation' to develop his mutation theory of evolution. His foundational work significantly shaped the early development of genetics and evolutionary biology.
