Susy Clemens Book order
March 19, 1872 – August 18, 1896
Olivia Susan Clemens, known as Susy Clemens, was the eldest daughter of Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain). She is credited with inspiring character traits for Joan of Arc in her father's historical novel, 'Personal Recollections of Joan of Arc.' At thirteen, Susy began writing a biography of her father, which was later published. Her work includes a recollection of meeting a dying Ulysses S. Grant. Twain incorporated passages from her biographical sketch into his own autobiography.
