Jörg Haider

Jörg Haider was an Austrian politician and the long-time leader of the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ), later becoming chairman of the BZÖ. He was a controversial figure both within Austria and internationally, leading to diplomatic sanctions against his party's participation in government. His political career concluded following his death in a car accident in 2008.
