Charlotte MacLeod

    November 12, 1922 – January 14, 2005

    Charlotte MacLeod was an award-winning author celebrated for her immense charm and wit. Her series featuring detective Peter Shandy offers generous dollops of warmth and whimsy, while tales of Sarah Kelling and Max Bittersohn provide unique explorations of relationships. She also drew on her Canadian heritage for her amusing Grub-and-Stakers cozies under the pseudonym Alisa Craig and for the gripping Madoc Rhys RCMP novels. A cofounder of the American Crime Writers League, she was a significant voice in the crime fiction community.
