Sie arbeitete als Redakteurin und Moderatorin im ZDF und ist seit 1999 für das ZDF-Mittagsmagazin verantwortlich. Susanne lebt mit ihrer Familie in Mainz und dies ist ihr erstes Bilderbuch. Die Illustratorin, Eva Montanari, stammt aus Rimini und hat ihre künstlerische Ausbildung am Europäischen Institut für Design in Mailand erhalten. Im letzten Jahr veröffentlichte sie bereits mehrere Bücher in Italien. In einer Leseprobe erklärt Noah, dass die Arche ihre Familie und viele Tiere vor dem Ertrinken retten wird, wenn die große Flut kommt. Jafet fragt erschrocken nach der Flut, und Noah erklärt, dass Gott enttäuscht von den Menschen ist, die mit der wunderbaren Welt und dem Leben, das ihnen geschenkt wurde, achtlos umgehen.
