Celil Oker

    Born in Kayseri in 1952, this author completed his secondary education at the American Middle School in Talas and then the American College in Tarsus. After graduating from Boğaziçi University with a degree in English Language and Literature in 1979, he worked as a translator, journalist, and encyclopedia writer before beginning a career in advertising in 1983. He later became a lecturer at Bilgi University, publishing his first novel in 1999. His works, often featuring crime fiction elements, are noted for their keen observations and original narrative style.
