Leben im Versteck: Anne Frank wird im Juni 1929 in Frankfurt als zweites Kind geboren. Anne ist noch nicht vier Jahre alt, als Hitler an die Macht kommt. In der Schule bekommen sie und andere jüdische Kinder den aufkommenden Judenhass zu spüren. Auch das Geschäft ihres Vaters wird attackiert. Familie Frank zieht in die Niederlande um. Als Hitler auch Holland überfällt, muss sich die Familie verstecken. Zwei Jahre Zusammenleben auf engstem Raum in einem Hinterhaus können die Familie auch nicht retten. Kurz vor Kriegsende werden sie entdeckt und in Konzentrationslager verschleppt. Zurück bleibt Papa Frank ganz allein und natürlich Annes Tagebuch als ausführliche Dokumentation. Die Zeit des zweiten Weltkriegs lebt durch Text und eindrückliche Bilder auf, ist gut nachvollziehbar, fraglich allerdings, ob dieses traurige Kapitel der Weltgeschichte ein Thema für kleinere Kinder ist.
