Meredith Davis is a dedicated writer, reader, and lover of children's books. Her debut narrative nonfiction work for middle grade readers, HER OWN TWO FEET: A RWANDAN GIRL’S BRAVE FIGHT TO WALK, was published by Scholastic in the fall of 2019. Her career includes previous work at the independent children's bookstore Toad Hall and founding the Austin Chapter of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI). Davis holds an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults, and her writing often explores themes of resilience and courage.
